KP’s first post in 2010 :P

Hey Pals,

sorry for not blogging for a loooooooooong long time.. was pretty busy back in November and December… let’s see.. what was happening and what’s up next :)

Back in November, I left my previous company and joined Microsoft as their Developer Evangelist… took me quite sometimes to adapt to my new job, newly wed life, and what not. Francis (aka my husband) was busy preparing his portfolio before leaving to Milan pursuing his career. So was I. LoL! Just got to know, being a wife and a girlfriend has total different level of commitment. Sleepless nights and what not… and time flown to December.

December was extremely tiring for me. With my baby growing, my hubby rushing to finalize his stuffs, helping him with odd stuffs, work getting busier, Christmas, and etc etc etc.. man.. life was crazy…i do miss those days that i have some spare time to go shopping, movie, makan-makan… with a blink of an eye, my birthday was over and i didn’t get to celebrate it since i was busy packing for my hubby… well, it wasn’t so bad… i don’t want to admit I’m a year older anyway :P

so came January… life started to quiet down a little… it was pretty difficult for me at first, for parting with my hubby… i spent my time cleaning the house (house was a little messy after Francis turned it into some kind of workshop with fabrics everywhere and i can hardly tell the color of the floor *chuckles*) My daily routine was to go to work, come home, cook some dinner, video conferencing with my husband, bedtime.. and yet another day started all over again… when it comes to weekend, i would do cleaning, laundry, probably out with my sis-in-law or friends, or just stay at home resting after a loooooooooong week… *and i hope to see Sylvia this Sunday :)*

My parents are coming over for Chinese New Year this year.. I’m so excited and i couldn’t wait to see them again. i miss them, i miss home, and i miss Kuching… ok, dun wanna bore you with my long winding post… hope to hear/see you guys soon.. take care and TaTa for now! muakz!

Sneak Peak on KP's marriage registration 11-11-2009

First of all..congratulations to KP for becoming Mrs. Ling. :P She claims that she feels old when I asked her what's her feeling. -_- OLDDD....old when you're married~? Then what about us not yet married yet OLDER THAN YOU!? :P Lagi KNS right the feeling? HAHA~

Secondly...thanks for asking me to be one of witness for your marriage. It's my privilege to have my name on your marriage certificate. :)

Thirdly...because of this, I know how to drive to Cheras already..hahahahaha. :D I LEVELED UP! Kuakuakua~ xD Was so worried I couldn't wake up in time for your registration at 8:30 a.m. Luckily Federal Highway was in 'good mood' that morning though Sprint Highway was a little bit 'moody'. :P

Bride on the phone...

KP: *Hee hee hee*
Sylvia: *Snap photo*

Estee & Koh Ping...

Me with Koh Ping....

We feel quite bad wearing jeans for your marriage registration.
Didn't know it wasn't that proper as it's our 1st time attending such occasion xD

Mr. & Soon-to-be Mrs. Ling waiting for the documents to be ready...

In THE ROOM...

Getting ready to sign the papers..

Estee and me was like "whoah" with the decorations in the room.
-_-" 1st, too many mixture of colours..2nd, very malay style.
They should change theme for chinese couples~!

Before signing the papers...there's the part with "I do"...but it's in Malay, which is "Saya setuju". Funny part was Francis said "Ya" or "Yup"...

We all have our first times and nervousness do take place :D
For Francis..probably he's also blur...

With my signature on your marriage certificate...I am SOOOgonna make sure KP is a happy wifey and mommy. Francis...if you're reading this...remember what I told you that day. You don't treat KP nice, I will whack you...with my piano...books! *Roar* :D

Exchanging rings :D Awhs...so sweet~

Koh Ping soooo the-happy~ :D

Mr. & Mrs. Ling

Love this photoooo :D

A photo of those who were there (except KP's brother and sister-in-law who isn't in the photo)

After the registration, we went to Old Town nearby JPN in Cheras to have our breakfast :D

Soft boiled eggs...simply can't resist :D

Estee poured damn a lot of 'si yao' and pepper.
She keep saying no taste...! @.@

Anyway...i drove back to BU happily after sending KP back to her place at Cheras...even Estee also said I a bit sot in the car. LOL~~

just drop by..

i'm rarely free but yeah... today i'm quite free somehow... so i decided to drop by to 'ink' down a few words before i get no time to do it :P

well, for the pass few weeks, i was extremely caught up with work. my current client is a bank, so yeah, bank job is always critical. i havent gone out ever since then (minus karaoke before work last sunday) And my roommate must have forgotten how i look. I havent seen her for two weeks, or more since i've been working late and Francis escort me home every night.

He has been a real great guy at time like this. Everyday, after work, he comes and pick me, erm, well, take me to the train station. And he makes delicious pasta for dinner!!! Owh... until Edith is so sick of having pasta.

I truly appreciate what he does for me, at the same time, i felt a guilt in me. I could have done all these for him, but i didn't.

My Job has make me reliase how much i've missed in life. sometimes, it really makes me wonder, is it worth the fight? What is my job to me? i do love my job, but i love to have a peaceful life with francis even more. I havent got time for my friend, i wonder if i still have them, nor time for myself to reflect on myself.

Gosh.. the more i write, the more depressing it get. Ah.. rather, i'll wait for others to post then i'll write again. till then, cya!

KP - Little Trip Home

(short trip long post)

should have blog bout this weeks ago
anyway, i had a short trip home earlier this month

*too bad, all the pic captured are too blur :( time to get a dslr

my flight from kl was delayed 3hrs ++ @_@ din know that flight delay can be such a mental challenge. luckily, my bro was flying with me, for at least i have a companion with me :)

when i first touch down Kuching, my first and foremost thirst was KOLO MEE & TEH C PENG!
my thirst was not fulfilled that very night because dad decided to celebrate my brother's belated birthday! oh well, a family dinner instead. it was a delightful dinner of course. i could tell how happy it was to my dad for us to gather for a dinner. since that we all had left Kuching for a while now, pursuing own career, my parent must have felt lonely.

day 2 was basically the main reason for us to be back in KCH. it was Qing Ming. the night before, we plan to push off around 7am so that my eldest bro will not have to rush for his afternoon flight back to SG. By the time I first opened my eyes that very morning, it was a heavy pour. My dad came knocked on my doors around 8am saying that we'll have to wait till the rain stop. And so, I went into lazy-ing mode rolling on my bed like nobody's business. At about 9am, we all got hungry and pushed off for breakfast at A1 coffee shop, BDC. I had Kueh Chap and my TCP! My Bros ordered funky tasting laksa and poppiah. Dad had overpriced mee-suah. I spotted a person I least expected, Shirley Brown, my college so-call-mate, sitting opposite me. Being polite, I excused myself from my table, and went over to greet her. So, I guess she too, was finding it hard to survive in this cruel-real-corporate-world and making a U-turn back to college, as a tutor. The rain had finally tamed to just mild drizzled. My dad suggested we make a move and proceed to perform our grave duty at the earliest possible.

That evening, I went out with Shi Li. I had 3, almost 4 meals! First stop was Malak Mien at Life Cafe. It has been a memorable place. It reminisce me back to the day where I was still in blue pinaform and life was carefree. Well, life isn't that bad today, minus the stress from watching the clock ticking away.

Next, just down the aisle, we sat comfortably and ordered fried chicken wings and chicken butts (i forgot the jargon so just stick with chicken butts) at Alladin Cafe ;) That simple meal really 'kicked' plus the comment from the counter uncle that I'll never forget, "che duo yi dian, quai gau zhan da" LoL!

My tummy meter was showing half empty but Shi Li had to surrender already. I couldn't think of any where else to go except for Kenyalang! It like THE place to be. Not just your average pirate bay, but it is also another food heaven. Kueh Chap, banana fritters, ang tao chien luk, cha kueh, you name it! it's all 'top-notch' ~yum yum~

Kenyalang was not the last stop of course, it has to be 3rd mile. this time, it's not for food since my tummy meter almost exploded. We stop by our favorite shop, Momo toys or sorts. Before we called it a night, I got my Kakashi replaced with Rukia from Bleach.

so much for Food for day 2, more to come on day 3. i slept in till pretty late that morning. I haven't been sleeping that much. anyway, Shi Li had passed me a dozen of dvd with Anime the night before. Gosh! I haven't watched one since my college 2nd year. So much to catch up and so little time to go! I boot up my laptop and drown myself into another dimension. My 2nd bro barged in and threw a packet of food onto my bed. *IGNORED* Hang on, the familiar scent coming from the package sucked me out of my anime dimension. it was KOLO MEE!!! YUM YUM~~

the clock shows 7.30pm and it's time for a date with Jason and Ed. Alright, another heavy down pour which almost made me canceled the date. anyway, Jason came to pick me and we went to hui sing to pick up some dinner. we tapao ketchup mee, ketchup kueh tiaw, taugeh mee, and pork satay! It was great to gather again with buddies like Ed, and Jason (and of course Syl). So much comfort and as if, life is carefree again. How i wish we could all sit down like this every now and then. We were chatting and talking like we used to. It good to know that Jason has been building up his career here in Kuching, something that I could have done but... I do have a slight regret. As for Ed, I wish you all the best with your studies. And I promise you that I will come back to Kuching for your graduation! We are so gonna P-A-R-T-A-Y!

day 4, it's time to say goodbye again.
I dragged my dad to have laksa at Abell Road. It was his first time there. My dad is the kind of person who eats breakfast at the same place (and almost the same time) like a routine. After the morning breakfast, I went home and start packing. It was mum and dad who sent me to airport. I just wish to stay a little longer. I felt like there are so much more that i haven't done. I checked in and only to find out that my flight has delayed for another hour. 60mins seems short to me so i help myself into the boarding area. After 30mins of waiting, there was an announcement another 60mins delay to add up to the 60mins delay. Passengers from the same flight as I am walk to the counter and demanded for a flight transfer. Some manage it some didn't. I couldn't get transfer due to my checked in luggage. bump! Luckily i have my laptop with me. I walk all the way to the other end and help myself with a large cup of cinnamon coffee. Not too bad.

Another 5mins to boarding time and yet no sign of any aircraft nearing to the boarding gate. I went to ask the staff on duty and he told me softly, "the flight is on the way ma'am, expecting to arrive in another 30 mins." Bummers! Cant they tell the exact time? grr...

anyway, i left Kuching around 7pm. and i will definitely be back here soon. soon enough. 30th April. mark your calendar :P

KP - Picking-up in March :)

well.. as you all know...
I've move to stay in a dorm earlier this month with my high school mate, Joyce
The place is a little run down but it sure is cozy

i got a little better in adapting my life here than 6 months ago
there has been so much in March..

i had my little trip to Jakarta and caught some live Jazz performance.
It was truly amazing. i had to say it was my first time traveling for such an event.
i guess there are more to come *wink wink*

well... bout my work... the project which i had felt strongly about it, has finally come to end...
what left was fond memories of 7 and half months spent with the 'family'
some bitter sweet ones... oh yeah... so gonna talk about it when i get back later...
*things are better left verbal at times*

i'm so looking forward for April to come.
i'll be coming home for the first weekend, and the second weekend, i'm heading to Cameron.
i hope to visit sylvia from time to time.
even when i'm so near, i havent spare my time for her and i really feel bad for myself.
To Syl, catch up with u soon...
and guys back in Kch, let's have makan-makan session when i'm back...
tata for now~~~

KP's 'Blonde' story

this is 'blonde' enough to tell...
but i've use my card for the first time...
it was 4am and i was driving back home from work (yes, you've got it right, 4am)
i have RM20 in my pocket and a card that i never use...
and i notice my tank is almost empty...
...decision decisions:
  • pump petrol with cash and come back again for another refuel
  • use my card and be on debt
  • go to ATM get some cash, but it's 4am...
And so, i go with the second option...
Filling up my petrol full tank, grab the receipt and speed off the place..
urrgghh... and now, i'm officially entered the life on debt :(

to tell you the truth, it's pretty eerie to pump petrol 4am
the station is so quiet that i believe i could hear a pin drop
whenever a car come in, you'll start to feel so insecure
geee... probably that was just me
any way..
that's all for the 'blonde' story for you :P

ciao~

KP's entry

hi guys

Sorry for the late entry...
been caught up with works and feeling very down lately...

it has been a tough month for me...
I'm feeling like I'm at the edge of losing everything...
my thoughts on my decisions made...
maybe I'm not too ready for KL yet...
Looking back.. i never liked this place...
things happened

now my relationship with my sis-in-law is like a thin ice on the frozen lake
i was involved in an accident few days ago...
my car was sandwich after the guy in front hit an emergency brake and the lady behind banged me
i was stuck in the middle of course.. but amazingly, i escapes without a single damage on my car...
but the problem arise when my sis-in-law's mum doesn't want to claim the insurance and said something that really hurts everybody...and my bro had an argument with them
ended up I'm paying the damage for the guy in front...
and the lady at the back claimed her own insurance
after this incident, my sis-in-law mention that my bro 'sayang' me more than her
she was cold towards me...
i feel so damn guilty and hurt too...
i didn't mean for the accident to happen at all
i was driving to work as usual after all
and the fact that I'm moving to a new place next month was me trying to avoid all these hard feeling in the first place...
i knew she will be cold towards me if i stay with them longer...
Two months... and i didn't expect things to happen too fast
maybe you guys are right... I'm not suppose to come here after all

my work has been filled with uncertainties...
it really worries me
I'm trying hard not to think about it
yet it still hits me

furthermore...
Francis is leaving in September
and yet i haven't stable my life here...
i don't want him to leave with worries
he should go with peace in mind...
i need to show him i'm okay...
i really don't want him to worry bout me...
but i dunno what to do now..

*sigh*

i am really down...

KP teaser reveal :)

HaHa~
Sylvia got it right :)

The ring was my 23rd Birthday present.
it was a replacement ring to a RM0.50 metal ring that I've lost in India.
Well, diamonds are girls best friend after all :D

and the flower?
it was suppose to be a thank you roses.
but ended up as apology roses.
francis had ordered it earlier but they never send it to me.
until one day when we had huge arguments (hehehe...), he had it send to my office but i refused.
finally, he had brought it to my place by taking LRT :)
it was so sweet of him...
but unfortunately (not this word again during CNY *smack head*), i'm going to throw it away.
It's a feng shui thing, not to keep dead plant in the house.

now that i have told you the story, i guess it your turn to tell me what suprises that you had for the month of January *wink*

KP goes shopping :)

aiyah... i know lar... y shop in KCH when i can do it much better in KL...
the fact that i am lazy to go shopping in KL is undeniable... the traffic sucks, the parking, the crowds, and the walking... all shucks!!! and i hate shopping alone!@!#$%

well... on the CNY eve (which was a few hours back) i ask Sylvia to drive and accompany me for shopping... at first, i tot of getting a hush puppies shoe and also a hair cut...

so, Sylvia suggested we go to The Spring... much to my disappointment, the design that i was looking for was not sold there... *siiiiiiiggghhhhhh* so, we took the chance to look at Charles and Keith... i must say i lovessss the design... but sadly, it's not good for my toes since the 'architecture' was build in a way the center gravity support all goes to my toes... (pretty sad in a way) but hey... look what i did instead of trying on the shoes....

*uuuuu~ million dollar baby wanna be shade*

*hmmm... too round for my face....*

of course i didn't buy those shades since i don't need one... anyway... our next destination was to Crown Square (odd but yeah... some 'errand' to run there) i told syl that i'll check out the saloon there while she can go do her stuffs. What was the name of the saloon again?.. MacPhee? something close to that.. my recommendation? don't go there. Look at that leng chai doing my hair?

he actually hit my head with the dryer once, got the comb stuck on my ears a few times, and break my hair while he's drying my hair.... but i do admit the hair wash (minus shampoo on my shirt) + massage session was quite nice. The hairstylist who cut my hair... very unprofessional.. why? he simply cut my bang, and suddenly he notice he did it wrong and tried bout 15 mins trying to fix it and finally gave up...

*hmm... RM60 haircut and i look exactly like last CNY...*

back to the shoe story.... we went to saberkas after my haircut. of course, the hush puppies shoe that i was looking for wasnt there either... upon desperation of getting a shoe that suitable for both work and leisure, i ended up buying something which is quite out of my expectation. oh well, it's actually nice looking and sylvia chose it for me. :)

after shoe shopping, we head up for lingerie shopping... opps... i made sylvia bought something too... when at the counter, i paid RM88 for my stuffs... wah... so ong number arrr... hehehe... before we left saberkas, i manage to stop by the kaya ball stall.... yummy! havent had that for long long time already!!!

all shopping done and it's time to go home. i just wanna say, thank you sylvia for you time... i know you were tired and a little 'stoned' (no, not drug stoned) but you still take me around... thank so much!

KP and her decision~

First off...

I would to thank you all for all the support you gave me.
Just for your update, me and Francis are now doing fine.
But a little different from before.
Nothing serious. Just a casual relationship.

Now that I have come to this decision, things are better.
Though I left him once, and gawd knows, when will I do it again.
There are just too much to compromise.
And I'm not ready for that.

I have been coping up pretty well.
I've finally found a goal in my life.
Something unexpected, but oh well, planning and executing are two different entities after all.
At least it help me to stay focus and whine less.

Looks like 2009 is a good start to me :)

P/S: Jason, Kelly, Christine.... mana lu olang punya resolution arr??

*comment off :)*

"Next Year Baby"

Next Year,
Things are gonna change,
Gonna drink less beer
And start all over again
Gonna pull up my socks
Gonna clean my shower
Not gonna live by the clock
But get up at a decent hour
Gonna read more books
Gonna keep up with the news
Gonna learn how to cook
And spend less money on shoes
Pay my bills on time
File my mail away, everyday
Only drink the finest wine
And call my Gran every Sunday
Resolutions
Well Baby they come and go
Will I do any of these things?
The answers probably no
But if there's one thing, I must do,
Despite my greatest fears
I'm gonna say to you
How I've felt all of these years
Next Year, Next Year, Next Year
I gonna tell you, how I feel
Well, resolutions
Baby they come and go
Will I do any of these things?
The answers probably no
But if there's one thing, I must do,
Despite my greatest fears
I'm gonna say to you
How I've felt all of these years
Next Year, Next Year, Next Year
